The IRB, and associated offices within Emory, offer training courses on subjects relevant to the conduct of human subjects research. Certain courses are required. For instance, all study staff on human subjects research protocols, for instance, must obtain the CITI certification. While Investigators conducting clinical trials must also complete courses offered by the Office of Clinical Research. Other training courses, such HIPAA and eIRB training, are offered for the edification of individual investigators and study teams. While not required, the information they present can improve the quality of research, while simultaneously making it easier.

Please note: Information on eIRB training is located in the eIRB section of this website.
